The purpose of periodic inspection and testing is to provide, so far as is reasonably practicable, the safety of persons.

This is against the effects of; electric shock and burns, protection against damage to property by fire and heat arising from an installation defect and confirmation that the installation is not damaged or deteriorated, so as to impair safety.

By law, you must take reasonable precautions against the risk of death or personal injury from electricity in work activities. Electricity at Work Regulations (1989).

Fixed Installation Testing

Fire and shock hazards.

Results of all the electrical tests conducted.

Portable Appliance Testing (PAT)

Our experienced electrician’s qualified to operate the multi-function test equipment, interpret the results and trained to spot flaws, defects or damaged cables.

Employers, institutions and landlords have a statutory requirement to have all electrical appliances tested if:

The appliances are used by employees and / or the public have access to and use the appliances (e.g. schools or hotels). If you lend or hire the appliances, the appliances are repaired or serviced.
