RMD Electrical Ltd provides an installation process which starts with an initial consultation.

This then continues through to system design, production of working drawings, installation, testing and commissioning. Finally, we will provide operation and maintenance manuals and fitted drawings as required.

Design and Build Projects

We ensure that the principles upon which the design is based comply with all current, relevant and normal statutory instruments and regulations.

Furthermore, we will incorporate modern energy-saving techniques and ensure that equipment is designed and selected to achieve typical economic life spans. Our designs are carried out with emphasis on reliability and with consideration for future maintenance requirements.

We are able to offer value engineering on all proposed designs.

Lighting, Emergency Lighting and External Lighting

Lighting schemes are designed to provide energy-efficient, long-life expectancy and decorative solutions.

Lighting is designed in accordance with the recommendations of the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) and complies with building regulation requirements. Emergency lighting is designed and installed to the requirements of the national safety standards BS5266-1 and BS-EN1838, to enable buildings to meet fire safety legislation.

Consumer Units, Distribution Boards and Main Switchgear

We ensure that all equipment is manufactured to meet our customer requirements in accordance with quality procedures to ensure a reliable and cost effective solution.

We aim to help owners and operators of switchgear to select, use and maintain equipment safely and reduce the risk of accidents. All switchgear is procured from industry-recognised suppliers.
